Description
The National Exhibition, a multifaceted annual event is organized with the objective of showcasing the current trends in Contemporary Indian art practice. The exhibition comprising Paintings, Sculptures, Graphics, Photographs and Ceramics, represent a vast panorama of creations and is open to artists all over the country.
The jury nominated by Lalit Kala Akademi for 42nd National Exhibition assessed 8133 transparencies and photographs submitted by 2054 artists. Out of them, the jury selected 240 works for display in the exhibition. The Final Jury selected 10 artists for National Academy Awards and works of five for Honorable mention.
