KHUSHWANT SINGH, Indian writer, is a Sikh from shahpur, now in Pakistan. Studied at Kings College, London, and is a Barrister-at-law (Inner Temple) and an LL.B Practised at the high Court of Lahore. Was professor of Hindu Law and Jurisprudence. Joined the diplomatic service. He was the Press Attache to the High Commissioner for India in London. At present he is the Chief Editor of Yojana, published by the Ministry of information and Broadcasting.
