As a practicing Civil Engineer for more than forty years, I have designed, constructed and repaired many residential, commercial and industrial buildings, using reinforced concrete and modern building technology. In repairing many old buildings, 1 came across 'Madras Terrace' roofing wherein the wooden rafters and wooden beams were used. Wooden Pillars were also used for supporting the beams.
