Description

Scared by an abusive brother-in-low Gajendra (Pran),Ramchandra (Dilip kumar) runs away from home and lands up in a small village where people misunderstand him as Shyamroo (also Dilip Kumar). At the some time, Shyamroo is misunderstood as Ramchandra by Anjana (Waheeda Rehman) and her dod (Nazir hussain).

Unknown of this change, Gajendra tries to beat up Ram but instead faces a confident Shyam who cannot be beaten, and things change in household as well as community. What will Gajendra do when he finds out the truth?
