Description
Guru Granth Saheb is the Guru-incarnate of Sikhs. One of the most revolutionary decisions taken by Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Apostle, was to discontinue the practice of nominating the Guru-in-person. An imperative of the Sikh liturgy is to seek guidance from the Holy Granth for the day, after the prescribed morning prayers.
It is believed to be the divine command and popularly known as Gurbani. The world Divine is a datawise presentation of shabads from Guru Granth Saheb, which, it is believed, should serve as signposts for the English-speaking devotees of the Sikh faith.
To facilitate the reader locate the shabads in original, the page numbers of Sri Guru Granth Saheb are given at the foot of each composition in transcriptions.
