Description

The Adventures of Goopy & Bagha…

Goopy, a simpleton of Amloki village has a great urge to Sing in spite of having a tuneless, hoarse voice, Persuaded by some crafty villagers he goes on to sing for the king and is ultimately driven out of the village. He goes to the forest where he meets Bagha who has faced the same fate as he. They start their music, which attracts a group of ghosts and at the end the king of ghosts grants them three wishes namely, they will get good food and clothes for the asking, travel to any place they like by wearing a pair of slippers, and hold everybody spellbound by their music.

After this, goopy and bagha go to shundi and win the music contest and continue living happily in shundi.

The king of Halla, the twin brother of the king of shundi, essentially a good man is instigated by the evil prime minister to declare a war on Shundi. Goopy and Bagha urge the king not to surrender and goes to Halla as spies to stop the war. They do some spying and accidentally reveal their magical powers, and are captured: but they escape by strategy. At the end when the whole army is about to march to shundi, they freeze them into immobility, shower sweets on them and the underfed army leave their weapons and stop the war.

Goopy and Bagha capture the king and bring him to shundi, where the two brothers are happily united they get married to the two princesses and live happily ever after.
