Description

Modern systems of medicine are struggling to find cures for a number of diseases of the present times. Despite intensive research some diseases like diabetes, rheumatism, osteo-arthritis, gout (rheumatism and arthritis) are considered incurable. Indian sages, from ancient times, has prescribed successful treatment in respect of many such diseases. Based on their principles and classic scriptures, works related to research and development in Ayurveda, have been undertaken intensively by Ayurved Cikitsalaya-A hospital run by Divya Yog Mandir Trust at Haridwar. Divya Pharmacy, an ISO 9001 company with WHO-GMP, GLP certifications has also been set-up by the trust.

There is also a vast botanical garden in which medicinal herbs are scientifically cultivated. Many scarce medicinal plants have been grown with great care after intensive research. Patanjali Yogpeeth an institution to provide consultations and for research, with an OPD capacity for 5000 and IPD for 500 persons has recently been completed at Haridwar. These projects undertaken by the Trust are envisaged on a grand scale to provide relief to the masses, nationally and internationally.

The pioneers of the Trust are Yogrishi Swami Ramdevji Maharaj and Acharya Shri Balkrishanji Maharaj. A popular public figure, Swamiji is intensively involved in taking Yoga to the masses. Acharyaji has undertaken the great project of developing the Ayurvedic system of medicines and research work. In the hospital, along with the medical consultations and medicines, practical training in asanas, pranayamas, other Yogic exercises and Acupressure is also being imparted to the patients as part of prescriptions.

Acharyaji himself is highly learned in Sanskrit and the Ayurvedic system of medicines. After many years of penance and perseverance he has found cures to varied complicated ailments including high blood pressure. Through his long hours of selfless service, the venerable Acharya is providing immense relief to millions of patients suffering from innumerable physical and mental ailments. In fact, he is a leading luminary in the field of Ayurveda. By relieving the pains of the grief-stricken he is proving himself true to the dictum of the ancient sages:

Kamaye Duhkha-Taptanam Praninam arti-nasanam.

Acharyaji has organized a strong team of able physicians (Vaidyas ) to cope with this humanitarian work on a large scale. It is because of his untiring efforts and dynamic leadership that Divya Pharmacy was setup in record time, with leading technology and comprehensive research facilities, for the scientific manufacturing of quality medicines on a large scale, at the same time continuing the heritage of our ancient sages. It is indeed one of its kind, serving lakhs across the world annually. Many more are being cured through the other centres run by the Trust, and by consultations on telephone, mails, post etc. Even senior physicians of renowned medical institutions of India come here for treatment. Moreover, they also refer to Divya Yog Mandir, such cases of incurable diseases, whose effective treatment is not available anywhere else in the world.

Respectful Acharyaji is fully engaged in this cause. His compassionate heart, gracious behaviour, abundant love and sympathetic attitude has been a source of positive thinking and divine inspiration to innumerable people. The following vedic reference in respect of a physician applies fully to him:

Ayam me hasto Bhagavan, ayam me hasto Bagavattarah.

We offer our salutations to this great saint who is dedicated his life to the welfare of all humanity.
