Description
Health Care delivery in India is increasingly pluralistic where delivery mechanisms range from pure public-provisioning model to others where the market plays a dominant role. While public health care programmes have extended the reach of services and contributed to improving overall health status of the nation in the last five decades, India’s health indicators are poor in comparison to the rest of the world and in some cases among the worst in the world.
This Report summarizes the proceedings of the New Delhi workshop including edited versions of key speeches and complete papers presented at the workshop. Also included are the broad set of conclusions provided by the Rapporteurs.
