The Publisher once saw a book, Linn's Who's Who on U S Stamps and an intense desire to publish a similar book on Indian Stamps germinated in his heart. The desire took the form of a dream, which he dreamt for three years, and it took another two years for the dream to be realised.
Who's Who on Indian Stamps contains briefs biographies of nearly every great personality who has featured on the Indian Stamps, brought out by the Department of Posts, India, during the period 1947 to December 2001, along with their dates of birth and death, the catalogue numbers as per Phila India 2000 stamps catalogue, and the date of issue of the stamp. In some cases there were many more biographical details which we could not include due to space limitations and in some cases we could not get enough biographical information. However, it has been our endeavour to cover most of the important details of each personality's life.
