Imam Abu Is Tirmizi has collected original material reported on the authority of the Companions of the Holy Prophet himself. It has always been considered to be one of the primary sources of the personality and character of the prophet of Islam and has always served as a text-book and an enrichment material for Muslim students.
The present English translation is based on the Urdu version prepared along with minor explanatory notes by late Maulana Muhammad Zakaria.
