Description

Music director Naushad Sahab has innumerable fans. Some of the fans have their own individual collection of D V Ds, C Ds, video cassettes etc. whereas others have audio cassettes, gramophone discs etc. in their collection. All of them frequently see his films and enjoy the music.

As a fan of Nausad Sahab, I have not collected most of these things but went on collecting whatever has appeared on him and/or by him in print media. This has prompted me to write a book on him by name DASTAN-E-NAUSAHD a couple of years ago. Of course my collection had its own limitations because I could collect and preserve whatever came to my notice.

Veteran Naushad Sahab has very strong pen. His book of Urdu poetry by name AATHAVAN SUR is the sole example of it. However in addition to the book he has a practice of keeping notes on different topics such as Indian Classical music, film music, film personalities etc. besides few anecdotes of his life.
