Description

As the greatest Hindi and Urdu writer of pre-independence India, Premchand had pioneered modern Hindi literature. His collected works are being published in Urdu in 22 volumes. This book, seventeeth in the series, is a collection of 690 letters he wrote during 1905-1936.

Premchand wrote novels, short stories, plays and essays. He was a prolific writer, and his letters to his friends, literary associates, publishers etc. also give a glimpse into his orientation and thinking. This volume is a collection of his 690 letters. The first letter featured in this volume is dated 30th January, 1905 and the last letter is dated September 1936.

Literary Works of Premchand have been collected in 22 volumes and are being published under the title Kulliyat-e-Premchand. The volumes have been arranged as follows:

Volume 1 to 8 anthologizes his Novels.

Volume 9 to 14 is a collection of his short fiction.

Volume 15 and 16 relate to the plays authored by him.

Volume 17 carries his letters and correspondence

Volume 18 to 20 are omnibus collection of his writings

Volume 21 and 22 contain translated works.
