Description

This CD-ROM has been developed on a model capable of catering to individual learning styles. This model has been subjected to rigorous research and proven to produce instructionally effective courseware. The objectives are clearly defined at the start of the course and actively involve the learner in the learning process. This instructional design takes into account the various theories of adult learning as well as the different methods to capture and hold the attention of our young learners. The Focus is on developing a complete mastery of the language with stress on communication, unlike more traditional methods, which laid more emphasis on reading and writing.

Most of those involved in language teaching are convinced that multimedia technology offers real learning possibilities with measurable results. The glue that bonds content together and creates an unparalleled learning experience is the implementation of technology in an apt manner.

The CD is designed using the communicative approach, which focuses not on grammar, translation, and conjugations per se, but instead on communicating in whatever way you can. Errors are fine as long as you are able to make yourself understood. Since formal grammar is minimized and functional situations are emphasized, the CD-ROM effectively demonstrates and enables communicative language learning.

When you enter the world of this interactive CD, you will find yourself in a compelling, interactive environment where learning authentic Malayalam is made effortless and fun. Engaged in this rich, multimedia experience, learning becomes a pleasure and not a struggle.

TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The whole course of learning Malayalam is divided into seven lessons. It is designed in such a way that by the time the learner reaches the seventh lesson, songs, he is capable of reading a Malayalam newspaper or a book.

3. But then, writing is the best way to learn and remember alphabets. We start with the first alphabet, tells the learner how to pronounce it, write it and also its usages. Since the learner sees and gets acquainted with so many Malayalam words during this session, learning alphabets becomes a simple task for the learner.

4. The learner is introduced to Malayalam numbers here. He starts reading small words, easily, without any conscious effort.

5. The learner is introduced to the glossary of everyday Malayalam here. He gets a lot of opportunity to listen to and read what he has learned and learn new things too. By the time he is finished with lessons he will be able to read even difficult words in Malayalam. The next screen will show you how.

6. The learner gets to know the name of animals in Malayalam here. He starts listening to and reading words one by one on his own. Along with his reading skill, his vocabulary also improves.

By the time he is finished with lessons he will be able to read even difficult words in Malayalam. The next screen will show you how.
