This 3-part Cultural History package consists of 72 illustrates examples on art paper of famous landmarks of Indian architecture, sculpture and paintings. These works of art belong to the period known as Ancient and Medieval history. covering a period of 8000 BC to the 16th century AD.

Art is the creative expression of people. Man is the only being, as far as we know, who is able to respond to beauty and express this emotion through various creative expressions. This cultural package seeks to sensitize viewers to the beauty in Indian art and create a love, interest and concern for India’s rich and diverse cultural heritage.

This presentation seeks to enhance the understanding of Indian history and the development of India's culture, and to create an appreciation about the values and beliefs of people who lived in India centuries ago.

The artistic expression of people through the ages is a valuable source of historical information. From paintings and sculptures, we can make a study of the daily life of the people. We can derive important information about social and economic patters. For instance, from costumes and jeweler, we know there must have been weavers and goldsmiths. Other articles discovered during excavations tell us about the variety of craftsmen and traders that must have existed during this historical period.
