Description

An attempt, probably the first one of its kind, to discover the essentials of Hindu social thought and organization from a wide variety of sources.

This study is an attempt towards constructing a picture of the Hindu social organization and institutions from the point of view of their socio-psychological foundations and implications. The author thinks out and follow along the lines of the Hindu thought and tradition and to portray and interpret, both analytically and synthetically, the Hindu scriptures and theories in their proper and original perspective and setting.

The book has been received with acclaim by a number of very important scientists in India as well as in Europe and America. The presentation helps greatly in a true understanding of the Hindu social psychology and institutions. It is a comprehensive, systematic and integrated exposition of a very difficult subject. It is not only a pioneering attempt but has still remained unsurpassed.
