Generally in Continental cooking, a sauce accompanies the vegetables. The sauce may be tomato based, cram based or just stock thickened with corn flour. Mustard, lemon, pepper, fresh pr dried herbs are added to flavour the sauces.

The book has been divided into sections which will be of great help in planning the menu for a complete Continental meal. Keep in mind, not to make more than 2 baked or grilled dishes, unless you have a large oven, to avoid last minute confusion. Serve the food with a warm bread basket.
