Description

This set of five stories from the life of Guru Gobind Singh Ji (1666-1708) was written for children at the instance of Sardar Shamsher Singh, Chairman, Hemkunt Foundation, New York and Dr. Balwant Singh, its educational adviser. These stories were originally written in Punjabi and translated into English by Navtej Bharti and Ajmer Rode, gifted brothers, settled in Canada.

Guru Gobind Singh Ji Was a spiritual leader of India, who was deeply interested in the upliftment of human material. He used unusual methods to bring about psycho-somatic changes in his followers. The Sikhs, who revere him as their tenth and the last human Guru still draw inspiration from the stories of his life recorded by the Sikh historians. For the purpose of this book, some of these stories have been rewritten for today’s children in the hope that they will benefit from the message of the Guru projected in these stories.
