Description

Millions of India’s population is still in bondage and trapped in the causality of painful and multiple forms of silent deprivation. A vast population of these social groups belongs to the historically, socially, economically, politically and culturally marginalized communities, including the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, women etc. The systematic exclusion of these communities is indeed an everyday real experience.

This book examines how the educational deprivation of the weaker communities are fundamentally rooted to such forms of oppression and exploitation, usually played out by powerful social forces that destroy and annihilate all those qualities that are intrinsic to be human. Education, as a fundamental entitlement for all children, including the most marginalized would remain an illusion unless the trade offs of educational rights and the social, economic, political and cultural rights of the disadvantaged are safeguarded.
