David Page is Co-Director, Media South Asia Project, Institute of Developmental Studies, Sussex University, England. Anita Inder Singh is Fellow at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies at Wolfson College, University of Oxford. Penderel Moon was an officer in the Indian Civil Service until his resignation in 1943. G.D. Khosla graduated from the University of Cambridge, and served in the judicial branch of the Indian Civil Service, until his retirement as Chief Justice of the Punjab High Court in 1961. Mushirul Hasan is Professor of Modern Indian History at the Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.
