Description

This book is a compilation of a consultation which was successfully carried through from 19th to 21st June 2002 at the Earth Centre in Dalhousie. This major conference was titled Defending the Earth: A Way of Life. It was divided into three sections: Understanding of the Earth and her Creation in Christian Theology, Globalization in the Context of Human Civilization and challenges and Compulsions in God’s Mission Today.

The consultation/workshop aimed at inviting heads and functionaries of leading Christian educational institutions in order to mobilize the delegates experiential and spiritual resources to construct a module as a guideline for Christian schools, to be incorporated as a guideline for Christian schools, to be incorporated as a programme in the academics and extra-curricular activities of the institutions.

The purpose was to raise the conscience of staff and students so that they become agents in awareness building and inculcating a discipline in their schools, homes and localities towards an attitude of defending their environment as a way of life. It is hoped that this book will be read with interest and for the edification and propagation of the message embedded therein.
