Description
A part of a series of standard Histories of Indian literature, this volume traces the development of Sindhi literature from its remote beginnings.
Sindhi, like Bengali, Punjabi and Urdu is one of the major languages which India shares with its neighbors. It has an ancestry which goes back to the earliest recorded evidence of Indian civilization. This language which is generally written in Persio-Arabic script, has a rich literature which is many centuries old. The present work is the first attempt to give a simple and connected narrative of literature in Sindhi language, to enable readers to share in common the wealth and variety of Indian literature written in any language.
