Description
This photo album provides a unique visual journey to a number of key destinations in Asia and other parts of the world.
The Himalaya - the abode of snow - is the world's mightiest mountain range stretching across a vast area of Asia between Assam and Ladakh. These mountains have been the abode of gods, the sanctuary of ascetics, the cool retreats of the Mughals and British, and are where great rivers such as the Indus and the Brahmaputra have their source.
This pictorial essay describes the great variety of peoples, cultures and religions, and records the breathtaking scenes of peeks, valleys and passes that make up this extraordinary region.
