This work consists of ten case studies of women involved in human and economic development - particularly of women and girls.
Each case study traces the growth of the ideology professed by that person and outlines the geographical areas covered, the entry points used, the methods and techniques followed and the impact of the efforts made.
The handling of critical incidents in the work of the women under study is analyzed to highlight their values and approaches to problems. These women also speak out their views on the problems that confront women in India and express ideas for solving them. They also voice to their views on feminism.
