The letters included in this book are taken from three sources. Those marked with (MP) are taken from Mahapurushjir Patravali. The source of 16 letters, marked with (BMA) is Belur Math Archives, and that of the remaining 5 letters, marked with (UB) is the Udbodhan, the well-known Bengali monthly journal, of the Ramakirshna Order.
