Description

This book is the living legacy of the monk Revered Swami Ranganathanandaji, who at the age of seventeen years joined Ramakrishna Order. He had a very close intimacy with many direct disciples of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. While walking in the footsteps of Swami Vivekananda, he gathered the nectar of love and wisdom from them and silently filled countless hearts with these spiritual gifts.

This book leads the reader through the different dimensions of Swamiji’s life, providing a glimpse of his oneness with the nature and gives sense of what he meant, when he said We are identified with God who is in the hearts of all beings. It is a comprehensive live sketch of this great soul.

These photographs span Swamiji’s life from his late teens to his last days in 2005. In them he is seen as a great Seeker, Humanitarian, Acharya, Sage, Vedantist, Messenger, Karmayogi, guru and the Monk Whose life glittered forth through the vision of Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi.

Along with valuable photographs, this text open the life and teaching so Swami Ranganathanandaji, and makes this commemorative volume a great spiritual treasure house.

A monk once asked Swami Ranganathananda “Is this my last birth?” Maharaj replied, Yes, this is your last birth; but I shall have to come again to do Swamiji’s (Vivekananda) work.

The Poetry of kerala’s great poet Vallathol’s on Great Men aptly sum up this profile of Swami Ranganathanandaji also. Only that Great land which is the Mother of Bhagavad Gita could have given birth to such a remarkable karma yogi. It is only in that land of Himavan, Vindhyas and Sindhu can be found such a Lion whose very nature is restraint. Only in that soil through which flows the Holy Ganges can you find such a tree producing only auspiciousness as its Fruit.
