Islamic Heritage of India is an illustrated catalogue prepared by the National Museum, New Delhi, for a special exhibition honouring the 1400th anniversary of the Hijra era.
The catalogue documents works representing India’s Islamic artistic and literary heritage. Its principal sections examine miniature paintings and decorative arts, with material relating to illustrated manuscripts, Quranic calligraphy, Mughal and Deccani painting, metalwork, jade, textiles and other objects drawn from museum and library collections across India.
