Description

In the days of yore, the elders, at the end of ceremonies and functions used to bless the performers of dharmic functions wishing them to attain the Self and become the Self Person, or Atmavan Bhava.

The meaning of this blessing, that elders used to wish the performers of ceremonies is be guided by one's own inner spirit or the Soul or the atma or one's Self. Normally the human being is always guided by one's own mind which is nothing but the bundle of ones desires, likes and dislikes.

The nature of inner spirit or atma is the same at all times and all places for realized humans. The person guided by the Self or the person who has merged the mind in the Self, is always guided by the discretion and higher power which is of the nature of consciousness and bliss and never comes to sorrow.
