Description
The author, a well-known scholar and educationist has addressed himself to the daunting task of unravelling the philosophy of the Vedas. The majesty of the subject and its baffling ramifications are obvious. The author has tremendous faith in himself, tempered with humility as a scholar and a seeker after truth, which has been abundantly buttressed by his own deep knowledge of the Vedas.
The dominant quality of this work is its eminent readability, Some of the leading Richas and hymns of the Vedas have been rendered in English with an almost biblical simplicity and charm. His enthusiasm is that of a crusader. He is a firm devotee of Swami Dayananda Saraswati, the doughty Vedic militant who envisaged a world where Vedic exhortation of Krinwanto Vishwamariam had become a settled fact.
How the Vedas embraced the whole life of man and his universe is the recurring theme in this commentary. This is indeed a work of fine scholarship.

Shri K M Talreja’s book, Philosophy of Vedas makes interesting reading. His commentary discloses how deeply he has studied the subject. The book contains extensive quotations from Rig, Yajur and Atharva Vedas and also from the Gita and indicates its relevance to the present day problems.
