Celebrating Hindi Literature

Observed every year on September 14, Hindi Diwas commemorates the Constituent Assembly’s adoption of Hindi in the Devanagari script as an official language of the Union of India on September 14, 1949.

The occasion celebrates Hindi’s rich literary heritage, its many influential writers and its continuing place in Indian cultural life. To mark Hindi Diwas, India Club has selected a special group of Hindi books that invite readers to discover new voices, revisit beloved authors and enjoy the language through literature.
